Day 21 - Loch Lomond 12 Year Old (Loch Lomond Whiskies)

Hurrah! It's the Friday before Christmas and Day 21 of our 25 Days of Drams.

We're revisiting Loch Lomond distillery (where we previously sampled some Inchmurrin) for our third 12 Year Old expression in a row.

(not up to speed on 25 Days of Drams? Catch up with our introduction and all the days so far here)

Here's Chris talking about what makes today's dram special:

Recap: For each day of the 25 (we're Christmas day drammers here at the Dram Team), I'm going to give a few brief reasons I think each dram is worth your time and attention - which are the same reasons I picked each one to be in our boxes in the first place. And, we're giving away the full set of drams:

Why Chris recommends this whisky:

As we touched on previously, Loch Lomond distillery is like the Willy Wonka's chocolate factory of the Scotch whisky world. It was 4 different stills (1 type is normal - a swan neck pot still) and can combine the various new make spirits they produce into a fascinating range of different styles.

This expression contains unpeated spirit from their traditional swan neck still, and three different types of spirit from their straight neck pot stills. Remarkable!
