Here's Chris and Greg talking about what makes today's dram special, and waxing lyrical about Balvenie in general:

Recap: For each day of the 25 (we're Christmas day drammers here at the Dram Team), I'm going to give a few brief reasons I think each dram is worth your time and attention - which are the same reasons I picked each one to be in our boxes in the first place. And, we're giving away the full set of drams:

Reasons why Chris and Greg recommend this whisky:

Reason 1 - Balvenie whisky is special enough as it is, but just once a year for one week, they run peated barley through their distillery, and their "Peat Week" release is the result. Still full of the wonderful richness that Balvenie always has, but with a lovely intermingled smokiness.

Reason 2Pair of packaging nerds/magpies that we are, we've got to mention the really geeky box that this release comes in - it shows the exact dates of distillation for all the spirit in the expression, marked off on a full calendar. We think it's great fun to have this whisky history captured in print on the packaging.
