Day 17 - Cotswolds Single Malt (Cotswolds Distillery)

Happy Monday Morning!

If this isn't your last Monday morning before Christmas - our heartfelt sympathies - but at least there is only one left :-)

It's the most local whisky we can track down here at The Dram Team, and a special one too, being as it is, the inaugural release of the Cotswolds Single Malt from the Cotswolds Distillery.

(not up to speed on 25 Days of Drams? Catch up with our introduction and all the days so far here - not only can you win all 25 whiskies, you can help us make an amazing calendar for you for 2019 by answering our survey)

Here's Chris talking about what makes today's dram special:

Recap: For each day of the 25 (we're Christmas day drammers here at the Dram Team), I'm going to give a few brief reasons I think each dram is worth your time and attention - which are the same reasons I picked each one to be in our boxes in the first place. And, we're giving away the full set of drams:

Reasons why Chris recommends this whisky:

Reason 1 - It's the Dram Team's most local whisky! Being based in Bristol, its a close run thing between the Cotswolds Distillery and Penderyn (in south Wales). Not only this, the Cotswolds Distillery has a special place in Dram Team history - founder Dan Szor kindly let us film our launch video at their very picturesque site. Cheers chaps!

Reason 2This is their inaugural release, which is special enough. It us just 3 years old, but boy is it fantastic stuff! It scored 95 points from Jim Murray (infamous author of the annual "Whisky Bible") and is a testament to the Cotswolds crew's dedication to doing things right in order to produce very high quality spirits.
