Day 16 - Millstone 6 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Co.)

Today Greg is back, hosting Chris in his whisky attic, and they are both drinking Day 16's Dutch delight, the Millstone 6 Year Old single malt whisky bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

Here's Chris and Greg talking about what makes today's dram special:

Recap: For each day of the 25 (we're Christmas day drammers here at the Dram Team), I'm going to give a few brief reasons I think each dram is worth your time and attention - which are the same reasons I picked each one to be in our boxes in the first place. And, we're giving away the full set of drams:

Reasons why Chris recommends this whisky:

Reason 1 - It's Dutch! Much as this "it's not Scotch" theme isn't justification alone for trying whiskies from further afield, we only put good whiskies in our sets, and Millstone is no exception. They've been making whisky for a couple of decades, but are enjoying more prominence in the last 5 to 6 years.

Reason 2Millstone make fantastic use of Sherry casks, which is clearly reflected in the colour, nose and palate of this particular cask strength bottling by Boutique-y. A great one to try for sherry dram fans.
